Lizzy McAlpine announces her third studio album with the release of title track ‘Older,’ out now.
After two widely successful indie-pop albums, breakout artist Lizzy McAlpine has announced her latest LP Older, set to release 5th April via Columbia Records. The album’s title track is out now.
“To me, this album represents who I’ve become over the past three years,” said McAlpine. “Through the long and mostly tumultuous journey of making it, I have learned who I am as a person, who I want to be as an artist and what kind of art I want to make. This album is a culmination of that growth, showcasing the rawest and most honest version of me.”
The new album comes as a follow up to McAlpine’s critically acclaimed 2022 album five seconds flat, which bore hit singles like ‘all my ghosts’ and Platinum-certified ‘ceilings.’ Infused with personality and passion, Older sees the 24-year-old rising star step into a newfound confidence, defining her voice and artistry with 14 deeply personal tracks written across the past three years.
Recorded and co-produced by McAlpine and Mason Stoops (Del Water Gap, Ryan Beatty) alongside Ryan Lerman, Jeremy Most (Noah Jones, Emily King) and Tony Berg (Boygenius, Taylor Swift), the album expertly narrates McAlpines transition into adulthood, finding her voice through profound simplicity.

“The music that I’ve released up to this point in my career has been heavily produced and perfected, to the point where I don’t even recognize myself in it anymore,” McAlpine explained. “This album is the complete opposite. We recorded most of it live, tracking the entire band at the same time in one room, me included. The passion in that space translates into the recorded music so much more than anything I’ve done before, and it has created a record that, in my opinion, is the best I’ve ever made.”
