Don't call it a comeback: LL Cool J announces his first new record in 11 years
LL Cool J has announced his new album The FORCE, out September 6. A new single off the album, ‘Passion’ was also released today.
The FORCE (which stands for ‘Frequencies Of Real Creative Energy’ was produced by A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-tip and is being released with Def Jam Recordings.
Q-tip is just one of the many collaborations on the album, which features Rick Ross, Nas, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and more.
Passion is the second single to be released off the album, following a collaboration with Fat Joe on ‘Saturday Night Special’.
Taking to social media, the two-time Grammy winning artist said he was ready for the release.

The album is LL Cool J’s 14th studio album, since his debut in November of 1985 with Radio. Breaking through with ‘I Need A Beat’, he was one of the earliest rappers to achieve commercial success, alongside Run-DMC and Beastie Boys.
