Dublin-based indie band Loko Parentis drop fifth music video for album track ‘Pornography Blue’.
After a nearly 15-year hiatus, alternative indie band Loko Parentis are back on the scene, releasing their fifth in a series of six videos in correlation with their most recent album, Dream Longer Than You Sleep, which dropped earlier this year on April 17.
'Pornography Blue’ is the latest in the string of videos and depicts a stream of gentle images that display a girl facing away from the camera on an empty beach.
Much like the previous four videos released by Loko Parentis, the track of the same name plays alongside, this time creating a contrast between the stillness of the video and the harsh, choppy guitar chords present in the song.
Forming back in 1981 as a studio project in Cork, Loko Parentis takes inspiration from bands such as The Clash, Sonic Youth, and the Sex Pistols as well as their home county of Cork, which heavily influenced the video for ‘Dream Revolution’ featuring the now demolished club and bar Sir Henry's in Cork city.
Dream Longer Than You Sleep is Loko Parentis first album since 2010 and contains a new compilation of guitar-driven tracks from the band’s earlier 2009 and 2010 albums, staying true to the band’s original new wave tone.

This is evident in the high-energy sound that borders on punk, as can be heard in tracks such as ‘Dream Revolution’, the fourth song to receive a video in the series.
‘Pornography Blue’ and the four previously released videos are available to stream here; the sixth and final video in the series will be released in the upcoming weeks.
