Simple but effective - Dry Cleaning bring their fresh, new post-punk sound to Ireland very soon.
Ever so often a band like Dry Cleaning comes along with a unique sound and a new approach of songwriting, both perfectly exemplified in new single 'Viking Hair' and its accompanying music video.
In 'Viking Hair', vocalist Florence Shaw's trademark style of wryly delivered spoken word meets a distinctly post-punk sound that gives her words room to speak for themselves. Meanwhile, the video embraces simplicity in its rawest form, plainly depicting a LGBT line dancing class in Claphan's Cactus Club.
The band told The Fader, "Whilst recording 'Viking Hair', we noticed the mood and rhythm of the song brought line dancing to mind. We found Cactus Club online and approached them to see if they would be interested in helping us to make a video."

'Viking Hair' is taken from their upcoming EP Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks, which follows July's Sweet Princess. Both EPs will be available as one 12" vinyl from October 25, which also marks the official release of Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks.
Dry Cleaning is set to play Dublin's Workman's Club on October 17 as part of their UK and Ireland headline tour.
