The single was inspired by the Barbie movie.
Five piece Belfast rock outfit Lord Jane have announced the release of upcoming single 'Harmonica' for August 1.
Along with the single announcement, the group have also revealed that they will be releasing their debut LP Tulips, which is slated for a September 13 release.
'Harmonia' has been described as a song that speaks to the heart of the female experience and serves as a rallying cry for empowerment and equality.
Lead singer Clodágh May said the idea for the song came to her as she left Barbie: "As we left the cinema, I overheard mothers and older sisters starting conversations with the young girls they brought along, answering questions that, at their age, I never would have even thought to ask. The experience was so moving that I began writing 'Harmonia' as soon as I got home."
Speaking on the EP announcement, the band said: "The Tulips EP, our first official release, has been the culmination of the last 2 years of our hard work. The 4 songs still feel just as fresh as ever; a the real testimony to what this band set out to do when it first came to be".

When discussing the title track, the group said: "'Tulips' is the first song that we ever played in a room together, and if only we could provoke that same level of excitement we felt in someone else, we’d have achieved what we wanted. It is as if, this band actually makes sense. We were simply 5 strangers, that started creating memories together", they said.
"Each song in the EP represents hard hitting emotions that surrounds dealing with mental health, feelings of anxiety and loneliness, and fighting the patriarchy.", the Northern rockers continued, adding: "All 5 of us have a voice and a little of our souls spilled out in each of the songs. The songs are incredibly personal, but that’s what music is at the end of the day. It’s a way to voice hard-to-talk-about feelings, and hopefully we can all find connection and comfort through that."
