and U2 stole her studio
Lorde, now 20, released 'Green Light' on her new album Melodrama on March 2, 2017 after a four year hiatus following Pure Heroin.
She released 'Liability' one week later on March 9.

Lately, Lorde has been recording at a Greenwich Village studio. To her surprise, U2 had booked her usual space and forced her to move to another recording space uptown.
"She saw the humor in being inadvertently evicted by Bono — it was just one more marker of how strange her life has been." — Jonah Weiner for the New York Times

Melodrama will be released June 16, 2017. It concentrates on the spectrum of feelings experienced during a party one goes to alone. The music is influenced by a recent heartbreak she does not wish to talk about.
SNL audiences were treated to a performance of her two latest releases last Saturday. During 'Green Light,' her lashing, energetic dances received criticism for being unkempt, though long-time fans defended her stylistic movements and cathartic, ecstatic joy.
