The first song to be released from the new 40th anniversary tribute project is Paramore’s power-packed version of 'Burning Down the House', featuring deft muscianship and large helpings of funk.
Speaking to the sheer versatility of Talking Heads' music, the complete line up of musicians working on this project traverse all genres and defy any coherent common factor bar being fans of Talking Heads. The full list of artists is in alphabetical order as follows: BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, The Cavemen., Chicano Batman Feat. Money Mark, DJ Tunez, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, The National, Teezo Touchdown and Toro y Moi.

Recorded at three December 1983 shows at Los Angeles’ Pantages Theatre and released the following year in 1984, Stop Making Sense is widely regarded as one of the greatest concert films of all time. In it, Talking Heads are augmented by musicians such as Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steve Scales, Lynn Mabry and Ednah Holt, helping songs such as 'Once in a Lifetime', 'Burning Down the House' and 'Crosseyed and Painless' reach new creative heights.
Stop Making Sense returned to the silver screen in 2023 and saw the original Talking Heads line up appear in public together for the first time in over 20 years.
