Tim Burgess has obviously been overdosing on his Curtis Mayfield records, which in itself is a good thing. The bad news is that Tim has unwisely tried to replicate Mayfield’s trademark high-pitched holler while sounding devoid of any soul or passion.
A bog standard guitar funk arrangement and excruciating female backing vocal straight out of the Give Out But Don’t Give Up-era Primal Scream songbook make this an embarrassingly awful comeback.
