He also releases the accompanying lead single ‘Stranger’. Listen below.
Low’s Alan Sparhawk has announced the release of his sophomore solo record With Trampled by Turtles, set to come out on May 30. He also released the official video for the album’s debut single ‘Stranger’.
Described as “a collective, communal, fraternal and empathetic record”, the album was recorded with the assistance of long-time friends and fellow Minnesotans Trampled by Turtles.
It was recorded at the end of 2023 at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. For years, Trampled by Turtles and Sparhawk had talked about making something together, but it was never more than hypothetical - however, the promise reemerged: “When the opportunity seems right,” Sparhawk comments, “you jump.”

With Trampled by Turtles follows the release of Sparhawk’s 2024 solo debut, White Roses, My God, which featured production from fellow Duluth native, Nat Harvie and was met with widespread acclaim.
Sparhawk will continue touring the US and Europe in support of his recent releases through the remainder of 2025, although no Irish dates have been announced for this year.
