Lucy Dacus has released 'Best Guess,' the third single from her upcoming album Forever is a Feeling, out on March 28 via Geffen Records. She has also announced a Dublin show on July 3 at the Iveagh Gardens as part of the UK/Europe leg for her Forever Is A Feeling Tour.
The single has been released alongside a subversive, self-directed music video which reimagines '90s Calvin Klein ads. The video features Cara Delevigne, Naomi Mcpherson, Towa Bird, ER Fightmaster, among others. Dacus made an open cast call for the video on a TikTok video in search of "hot mascs."
'Best Guess' follows the release of 'Ankles,' and 'Limerence,' also featured in Forever is a Feeling. Dacus premiered 'Ankles' on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Renaissance theme of her new era is noticeable in the album's cover, or in the custom Rodarte dress she wore for the performance.
The love song's lyrics deal with the excitement and uncertainty of a person venturing into love with someone else: "My best guess at the future / You are my best guess / If I were a gambling man, and I am / You'd be my best bet."

Dacus is also part of the critically acclaimed band Boygenius alongside fellow singer-songwriters Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. They won three accolades at the 66th Grammy Awards: 'Best Alternative Music Album' for their album the record, and 'Best Rock Song' and 'Best Rock Performance' for their song 'Not Strong Enough.'
The band also released, alongside Ye Vagabonds, a cover of 'The Parting Glass,' a traditional Scottish song the late Irish singer-songwriter Sinéad O'Connor had also recorded. The profits from the track are donated at the behest of the Sinéad O’Connor Estate to the Aisling Project, an after-school initiative which works with children and young people in disadvantaged areas of Dublin.
