Italian pianist and composer is on a mission to tour his highly anticipated release Elements.
Ludovico Einaudi, known for his ambient and haunting work, has added a stop in Dublin to his 2017 tour dates. The artist will play at 3Arena on July 15th where he will fill the stadium with new emotive compositions from his album Elements, as well as pieces from past albums.
The 61-year old's work has scored many soundtracks and he has even been compared to Radiohead, but "without the vocals." Many of his compositions are featured as the soundtrack to TV commercials and TV shows, including several episodes of Top Gear
Elements came out last October with tracks 'Night,' 'Drop,' and 'Elements.' Of the album, Einaudi says, "I saw new frontiers — on the edge between what I knew and what I didn't know — that I had long wanted to explore: creation myths, the periodic table, Euclid's geometry, Kandinsky's writings, the matter of sound and of colour, the stems of wild grass in a meadow, the shapes of the landscape…" Like Einaudi's words, his compositions ring like poetry.
