The Irish pop sensation adds two festival dates to her already extensive Irish tour this spring, culminating in the release of her self-titled debut album in April.
Ahead of releasing her self-titled debut album on 12 April, LYRA has been unveiled as a headliner for two Irish musical festivals this summer. The Cork-born pop darling will return home to headline Live at The Marquee on Sunday, 16 June 2024, followed by another headline set at Kaleidoscope festival in Wicklow on Friday, 28 June.
The news comes amid the artist's extensive national tour - which kicked off last month in Waterford’s Theatre Royal - and has since had two sold-out nights in Cork Opera House as well shows all across Ireland. The tour has also included two sold-out nights in Dublin's 3Olympia theatre. This leg of the tour continues through Kilkenny, Sligo, Wicklow, Monaghan, and Trim in the coming weeks before concluding in the Gleneagle INEC Killarney on Sunday 31st March 2024.
Kaleidoscope, which runs from 28 - 30 June 2024, have also announced The Kooks and Dec Pierce's Block Rockin' Beats as headliners for the festival, with more announcements to come. When she performs Live at The Marquee this summer, LYRA will join a dazzling lineup including Van Morrison, Bryan Adams and Sugababes.
Her new single ‘Drink Me Up’ is the latest release from her long-awaited debut album. The record opens with LYRA’s infectious vocal presence, leading into dark rhythmic tempo, radiating her spirited energy and lyrical hooks. It was written about starting out in the music industry and the perils associated with that, the conflicting thoughts one has when navigating a music career, LYRA is unapologetic at being her true and authentic self.
