Mabel's debut album High Expectations exceeds expectations.
What a debut! Mabel's first album High Expectations just shot to number 5 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, making for the highest new entry this week. The top of the Chart is still occupied by Ed Sheeran's No. 6 Collaborations Project, his fourth Number 1 album so far.
High Expectations include the hit songs 'Don't Call Me Up' as well as 'Mad Love', which currently claims the sixth spot on the Official Irish Singles Chart. Hot Press's Ed Power called the singer's first effort "bleak and mysterious whilst also driven by the quiet fury of Mabel’s hard-hitting personality".
Mabel will perform at Dublin's Olympia Theatre and at Belfast's Ulster Hall in January of next year.
Meanwhile, Shawn Mendes' and Camila Cabello's steamy duet 'Senorita' became the longest-reigning Number 1 of 2019 so far. They command the number 1 spot for the seventh week in a row.

Ariana Grande claims this week's highest new entry on the Irish Singles Chart with her Social House collaboration 'Boyfriend'. Debuting at Number 3, the track had the most video streams this week and becomes her 12th Top 5 hit.
The Irish Homegrown Chart got mixed up this week by new entries by Wild Youth and Chasing Abbey. Wild Youth's 'Long Time No See' debuts at number 18 while Chasing Abbey's new song 'Dominoes' claims the 20th spot.
They couldn't shake the Top 5 though, as Dermot Kennedy still takes the lead with his hit song 'Outnumbered', followed by Versatile with 'Prefontaine'.
