The rapper's latest track follows a series of protest songs critical of Israel's military operations in Gaza.
American rapper Macklemore has released a new single, ‘fucked up.’
The track is the third in a string of protest songs, following ‘Hind’s Hall’ and ‘Hind’s Hall 2’, which both released last year. 'Hind's Hall' was named after a five-year-old girl, Hind Rajab, who was killed in Gaza, along with her family and attending paramedics.
Similar to his previous releases, ‘fucked up’ is an unrelenting critique of Israel and the US government’s support of Israel's actions in Palestine.
The song also takes aim at tech corporations and CEOs, in particular Elon Musk, criticising their roles in shaping public perception and opinion.

Macklemore is a vocal proponent of the Palestinian liberation movement, signing an open letter in October 2023 calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, and accusing Israel of committing genocide at a DC Pro-Palestinian rally later that year.
Proceeds from streams of ‘Hind’s Hall’ and ‘Hind’s Hall 2’ were promised to be donated to UNRWA USA, and the rapper has said the same of ‘fucked up.’
UNRWA USA is a United Nations agency which provides aid and support to civilians in Palestine.
Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, under the pseudonym Macklemore, has been releasing music since 2000. The rapper, performing as a duo with Ryan Lewis until 2016, gained a large boost in popularity with the release of their hit single ‘Thrift Shop’ in 2013, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
