Pop queen Madonna has confirmed she will be releasing a new album by the end of this year.
The singer, who has been living in Lisbon for the last year, credits the Portuguese capital as one of the main inspiration for her new LP.
In an interview with Vogue Italia , she said "I’ve just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I’ve ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work. How could it not? I don’t see how I could have gone through that year without being informed by all this input of culture".
The diva also graced the cover of the magazine as a celebration of her upcoming 60th birthday.

The singer moved Lisbon to enable her son to pursue his dream of becoming a sports star. Having laid low over the last number of years, she has since teased fans with a number of different posts on social media. In a photo shared by Ariana Grande, the 'God is a woman' singer wrote, "Thank you @madonna, you know why" - leading many fans to speculate that a collaboration could be on the way.
This will be her 14th studio album. Her last project, Rebel Heart , was released in 2015, earning positive reviews and becoming her most well-received album since Ray of Light in 1998.
