Two fans alleged that they “would not have paid for tickets” had they been aware of the delay, according to court documents.
Two Madonna fans are suing the US pop icon after arriving onstage for a New York concert last month more than two hours after its scheduled start time.
Court documents state that the weeknight show was slated to start at 8:30 pm, when, in reality, Madonna didn’t arrive on stage until after 10:30pm and ended close to 1:00 in the morning.
The two aggravated fans, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, said that they “would not have paid for the tickets” had they been aware of the late finish.
The case explains that many concert-goers had to get up early the next morning to attend to weekday responsibilities like work, school, or family obligations.

Alongside the famed artist, Fellows and Hadden are also filing lawsuits against promoter Live Nation and the venue Barclays Center for “false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.”
While Fellows and Hadden only attended one night of the three day header, the case reports that Madonna was also hours behind schedule for the remaining two shows, failing to provide thousands of ticket holders with prior notice.
This is not the first time the pop singer has been late to a concert. The court documents cite examples such as her 2016 Rebel Heart Tour and the 2019-2020 Madame X Tour. Back in 2019, Madonna even shared a clip from one of her shows in which she states, “There’s something that you all need to understand, and that is, that a queen is never late.”
