The first single from the upcoming Madame X album is a collaboration with Latin singing sensation Maluma.
After a series of cryptic posts of social media, Madonna has announced that her latest single is set to be released tomorrow, April 17. Featuring the sounds of Colombian singer Maluma, the song is expected to incorporate reggaeton and Latin trap sounds. Medellin is the Maluma's birth place, as well as the former base of the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar.
Following on from 2015’s Rebel Heart, the upcoming Madame X will be the pop icon’s 14th studio album. It is speculated that the album will be released in early summer, just in time for Madonna’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest Final on May 18.

Teasing the album across social media, Madonna posted a video in which she assumed a number of different guises with the caption, “Welcome to the World of Madame X.” The video gives a glimpse into what Madame X will hold, with the narration reading, “Madame X is a secret agent travelling around the world. Changing identities. Bringing light to dark places. Madame X is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. An equestrian. A prisoner,” Madonna says. “A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A whore. And a spy in the house of love. I’m Madame X.”
