Sinéad Gleeson, Ailbhe Reddy, Bobbi Arlo, Liz Nugent, Jessica Traynor and Aoife Martin will also appear as part of Notes from a Quiet Land Edition II.
Following Notes from a Quiet Land I, which was live-streamed from the National Concert Hall earlier this month, the National Concert Hall (NCH) has announced a second edition, taking place as part of the global online festival SEODA. Notes from a Quiet Land Edition II, recorded at NCH, will stream on Sunday, March 21, at 8pm – featuring some of Ireland’s leading voices in music and word to reflect and respond to our silent world.
The performance will be free to view from nch.ie; NCH's Facebook and YouTube Channels; and Culture Ireland's YouTube channel. The event will also be available to view for one week from the date of performance.
"The NCH is delighted to have the opportunity to be part of Culture Ireland's global online festival celebrating Irish arts," Robert Read, CEO of the National Concert Hall, said. "Traditionally this is a time of the year when Irish artists would be travelling abroad, showcasing Irish culture to International audiences. While that may not be possible this year, this festival provides a platform for artists to perform and to reach even wider audiences. The NCH is particularly pleased to support new and leading female voices in Notes from a Quiet Land Edition II as they offer their musical and literary response to this time of crisis."

Curated by Sinéad Gleeson, the author of Constellations, and NCH's Gary Sheehan, Notes From a Quiet Land Edition II's line-up includes Sorcha Richardson, Maija Sofia, Ailbhe Reddy, Bobbi Arlo, Liz Nugent, Jessica Traynor, Aoife Martin and Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi.
SEODA will also feature Martin Hayes, one of Ireland’s foremost traditional musicians, in an intimate performance, recorded as part of the NCH Imagining Ireland series supported by Davy at the National Concert Hall in December 2020.
