The 21-year-old is set to release her debut album under Ed Sheeran's label Gingerbread Man Records this August.
British pop singer Maisie Peters has signed a record deal with Ed Sheeran's own label Gingerbread Man Records.
The Sussex native is set to release her debut album You Signed Up For This under the Grammy-winning singer's label this August.
Lead single for the album, 'Psycho', was co-written by Sheeran and Steve Mac and is set to land on July 2nd.
Speaking about his new artist, Sheeran said, “She’s a very special artist who continues to push her storytelling in new directions. We had a few great writing sessions together and from there I knew I had to work with her. Can’t wait for you to hear her debut album."
The 'Neck of the Woods' singer described the signing as "a dream come true":

“I grew up inspired and in awe of Ed, like many other 13-year-olds who heard ‘Lego House’ for the first time, so it’s kind of amazing and hard to believe that I get to be the 21-year-old who is able to call him and the whole Gingerbread team now friends, family and mentors for life," she said.
“I’m so excited to announce You Signed Up For This, it really is my (albeit not hugely long) life’s work and my proudest achievement; it is my favourite album maybe ever and whilst I may be biased, I really hope it goes into the world and becomes lots of other people’s favourite too.
“It all means the world and is my world and there is nothing I would rather do."
The singer-songwriter has enjoyed the support of many artists whom she looks up to since stepping onto the pop scene in 2017; including Sam Smith, Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift - who reached out to let her know her "ears have been blessed" upon hearing her cover of Swift's 'Betty'.
With half a billion streams on Spotify, Peters is likely to be one of Sheeran's most promising new signings. Maisie is slated to perform at All Points East on August 30th in East London's Victoria Park. Grab your tickets for the 10-day event here.
