The famous Liberties venue will be redeveloped and will include a hotel
Vicar Street is set to undergo major renovations which will see a hotel added to the site of the venue.
The changes will also increase the capacity of the venue by nearly 50% as well as developing the five bars that currently exist at Vicar Street.
According to reports, the Vicar Street owner Harrie Crosby has already secured the planning permission to bring his vision to life.
Crosby will be hoping to offer guests a “Rock and Room” experience - a package deal that will allow people to see a show, enjoy some food and stay the night in the hotel. There will also be a private club on the 8th floor of the hotel which will provide guests with views of the Liberties and the rest of the city.

“We are delighted to be involved with such an innovative scheme which will bring a new experience to our clients where they can relax after a show and not worry about getting home,” said Peter Aiken, the exclusive promoter for 20 years.
"We will increase the range of talent we present and enhance the whole experience of attending a concert.”
The renovations will see the seated capacity of the venue rise to 1550 - a significant increase on the current capacity of 1050.
