The reissued album will include remastered tracks, demos, B-sides and outtakes from that era.
Lifeblood, which was originally released in 2004 from the Manic Street Preachers, is going to be reissued for its 20th anniversary.
The album is a favourite amongst the group's fanbase. Today, the group has confirmed that they will be releasing a special reissue of Lifeblood. The new album is supposed to contain two new remixes of the opening song ‘1985’ by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Gwenno for its CD and digital versions.
There will also be a ECD bookset that will feature B-sides, live recordings and alternative mixes that are produced by Tony Visconti. Fans will also be able to claim a double vinyl edition which will be packaged in a redesigned gatefold sleeve with a 20-page booklet and double blood red LP.
Lifeblood is the Manics’ “most estranged album of all,” said the group's bassist Nicky Wire. “The main lyrical themes are death and solitude and ghosts. Being haunted by history and being haunted by your own past.”
The band took inspiration from groups such as New Order, Prefab Sprout and Simple Minds when making Lifeblood.

Manics’ frontman James Dean Bradfield added that, “I loved making Lifeblood because it was interesting. I loved chasing these other versions of what we were trying to do.”
The remastered edition of Lifeblood will be released by Sony on April 12. This is not the first album the band has reissued. They have reissued Gold Against The Soul, The Holy Bible and Know Your Enemy.
Back in 2013, Wire said that they band would never play ‘The Love Of Richard Nixon’ live again. However they will be co-headlining with Suede across the UK and Ireland. They will be in Dublin on July 2 at Trinity College. Remaining tickets for their tour can be found here.
