The Welsh band lands a good succes in the charts with their new album. Cardi B improves from the third to the second place.
"Resistance is Futile", Manic Street Preachers' new album gives the band a successful fifth place as a debut in the Album Charts. "The main themes [...] are memory and loss; forgotten history; confused reality and art as a hiding place and inspiration”, the band wrote in a statement. In January 2018, the band signed a new publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music, leaving their longtime home Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
Rapper Cardi B climbs up one spot in the chart table with "Invasion of Privacy". Having revealed her pregnancy this month after a lot of speculation, she cancelled her Wireless Festival appearance in London this July.
As Dua Lipa is still on place number seven with her album in week 46, Ed Sheeran's "Divide" climbs from five to three, in its 59th(!) week.
