The Barbie star and producer will return to world of films based on toys this time collaborating with Hasbro.
Margot Robbie’s production company LuckyChap is set to partner with Lionsgate and Hasbro on a film based on the classic board game Monopoly.
Hasbro Entertainment, a division of the American toy and multimedia company, will also produce it.
Production company LuckyChap most recently helped to produce Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn and Greta Gerwig's Barbie starring Robbie, which was the highest nearing film of 2023, generated a staggering $1.4 billion in revenue.
LuckyChap released a statement on the project saying: "Monopoly is a top property – pun fully intended," a reference to the real-estate themed board game classic.
"As one of the most iconic games in the world, Monopoly provides an incredible platform for storytelling opportunities. We are thrilled to have the unique vision of LuckyChap and Lionsgate alongside us to bring this historic piece of popular culture to the big screen," added Zev Foreman, head of film for Hasbro Entertainment.

Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said: "I could not imagine a better production team for this beloved and iconic brand than LuckyChap.
"They are exceptional producers who choose their projects with great thought and care, and join Monopoly with a clear point of view. We are tremendously excited to be working with the entire LuckyChap team on what we all believe can be their next blockbuster."
The news was revealed during this year’s CinemaCon, a gathering of exhibitors and stars in Las Vegas.
Monopoly, was first distributed in the US 1935, and has since been sold in 103 countries, in 37 languages, selling over 275 million copies worldwide.
This is not the first attempt to turn Monopoly into a movie over the years. In 2008, Ridley Scott was briefly attached to create a comedy based around a Real estate tycoon.
In 2019, Kevin Hart was cast to lead monopoly movie with Tim Story directing. It is unclear what the vision for Margot Robbie's Monopoly would look like.
