One of the Irish indie scene's most anticipated debuts is coming out in a month.
Rising Irish alternative folk singer Maria Kelly has revealed the highly-anticipated release date for her first full album, The Sum of the In-Between.
Her new record is the culmination of years of grinding in the Irish music scene, and will be released on the artist-led independent label VETA music on October 15.
Maria recorded the album during lockdown last year when she retreated to a small cottage, away from the city. She says that The Sum of the In-between "is an attempt to find the strength to confront the current version of myself at all costs.
"Not who I was, or who I hope I’ll be, but who I am at this moment – despite how uncomfortable that version may be to accept."
Reflecting on the introspective nature of the record, she says that it "explores the deepest parts of my brain, and it celebrates the strength that can be found in the darkest of places.

"It’s also a thank you to my friends, who have got me through the worst of it, during times where I know they were battling with the very same things."
Singles she shared earlier this year, 'Martha' and 'good enough', will all feature alongside twelve other tracks – which could be played at her upcoming gig at The Workman's Club in Dublin in November.
The full tracklist for the album is as follows:
