The grassroots singer is also set to play a set at Other Voices Live Festival from November 29 to December 1
Indie folk artists Maria Kelly releases her new single 'When I'm Angry' ahead of her new album Waiting Room which is set to release on February 28, 2025.
‘When I’m Angry’ is about Maria's journey tapping into rage that she historically has had trouble expressing. She says that,“This song is about the resentment that comes with letting others walk all over you. Though, it’s not really about the other person as much as it’s about claiming back your voice as your own.”
The setting of her new album The Waiting Room is inspired by Maria's personal health struggles. The singer found herself stuck in sterile clinics hoping for answers to chronic pain.
She says her album is "an exploration of the roadblocks, both internally and externally, that keep us feeling powerless and taking away our agency.”

Other themes in the album include Ireland's housing crisis, societal expectations, faded friendships, and more—all through a personal lens.
