Mark McCabe returns with a bright and bubbly new single featuring Irish-Scottish duo SIIGHTS.
Renowned Irish DJ and producer Mark McCabe is back with a new single entitled "Don't Let Me Go" featuring Irish-Scottish duo SIIGHTS. The track came to be in Amsterdam, a city which McCabe began to frequent around 2016 in search of artistic inspiration - he first found that inspiration on his massively popular remix of Gavin James’ 'Nervous.'
Things came together once SIIGHTS – who McCabe has publicly expressed his fandom for – and Mark got to talking. McCabe sent them the instrumental and the duo put pen to paper. Speaking about the song they said they wanted it to have “feel good summer vibes.” It’s fair to say they were successful, as the song bounces and bubbles with layered drum machines and technicolor melodies. The lyrics, SIIGHTS say, were inspired by “being off & on again with someone” before “realising you’re meant to be together,” a fittingly optimistic and loving sentiment for such a bright piece of music.
