McCarthy’s previous roles at Madison Square Garden and Prudential Center included successful campaigns with artists such as Hozier, Dermot Kennedy, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Rage Against The Machine.
Irish marketing executive Michelle McCarthy has announced the launch of the MCC Marketing group, a New York-based agency said to be "uniquely positioned" to help bridge the gap between Irish artists and the North American market.
“Our mission is to bring an artist’s passion to the forefront while applying a strategic, data-driven approach,” said McCarthy in a statement. “With MCC Marketing Group, Irish artists gain a committed partner who understands their artistry and can amplify their presence in the highly competitive North American market.”
Hailing from Youghal, Co. Cork, McCarthy – who enjoyed a busy stint in the marketing department with Hot Press at the start of her career – has over fifteen years of experience in the live entertainment industry, leading campaigns like Billy Joel’s record-breaking 100-show residency, Harry Styles’ 15 sold-out shows, and the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano fight, all of which took place at Madison Square Garden.
In 2024, the MCC Marketing Group executed the marketing for Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour’s hugely successful Luck and Strange U.S. Tour, across venues like Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl, and Intuit Dome. They also recently provided support to acclaimed Irish electro-pop musician Roisin Murphy and internationally successful group, Celtic Thunder, in New York City.
