Fresh from presenting ‘Ireland’s Favourite Folk Song’, the legendary Irish folk singer is gearing up to tour throughout the country.
Having spent the past couple of months presenting ‘Ireland’s Favourite Folk Song’, a new series on RTÉ that celebrates the music that defines us as a nation, Mary Black is ready to get back on the road.
Mary Black is one of Ireland’s most prominent and well-respected musicians, whose music transcends generations and embodies an inimitable passion and talent. With multi-platinum selling records and a string of awards under her belt, the vocalist’s immense catalogue spans over 30 years and encompasses some of Ireland’s favourite tunes such as ‘A Woman’s Heart’, ‘Katie’ and the instantly recognisable ‘Song for Ireland’.
Set to perform at venues around the country, Mary Black will be joined by her all-star band made up of Bill Shanley on guitars, Pat Crowley on piano and accordion, Nick Scott of double bass, Richie Buckley on saxophones and Martin Ditcham on drums and percussion.
