Coughlan's first single from the album, ‘Two Breaking Into One’, will drop on July 24.
Soulful jazz and blues singer Mary Coughlan has revealed the release date for her highly anticipated new album, Life Stories.
The respected artist has scheduled the release for September 4, 2020, with her first single - 'Two Breaking Into One' - out on July 24.
“It’s a song about betrayal.. it took me 15 years to feel comfortable with writing this song," Mary said of her latest work.
Since carving out a timeless career with a legion of devoted fans around the globe, the singer has recorded an incredible 15 solo albums and has sold out some of the most prestigious venues worldwide.
Her first album, Tired and Emotional, rocketed her to overnight fame in 1985, drawing comparisons with the outpourings of Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday, Van Morrison and Edith Piaf.

Her extraordinary 30 year recording career has led to Mayor of Galway Mike Cubbard recently presenting her with a 2020 lifetime achievement award for her contribution to the arts and culture community.
Life Stories was mostly written and recorded by Pete Glenister and Mary Coughlan at No Name Studio.
Coughlan's impact on the Irish music scene and the jazz and blues world in general over the last three decades has cemented her status as one of the nation's greatest singers to emerge in recent times.
