Comedian and puppet master David Strassman is Dublin-bound for five nights with his hilarious new show Careful What You Wish For. From September 11 – 15 , ventriloquism comes crashing into the 21st century with state-of-the-art theatrical effects and high-tech robotics that bring his zany characters to life. Joe Rooney, the actor and comedian who once played everyone’s favourite priest Fr. Damo in Father Ted, will add another TV appearance to his resume when he cooks up a storm in TV3’s latest instalment of Celebrity Come Dine With Me. Rumour has it he indulges in some rather ‘colourful’ conversations with former Miss World Rosanna Davison. That’s not all. Rooney goes on tour this month with a number of stand-up dates including the International. Dublin (September 10 and 24), The Empire Belfast (11), the Laughter Lounge, Dublin (19) and Boomers in Clondalkin (27).
Vicar St. is comedy central this month with two top comedians in bound. Dara O Briain’s hilarious Craic Dealer show has been extended for an extra two nights due to massive demand. You can catch O’Brian at the Thomas St. venue from September 6 – 8, and again 13 – 15. Keeping the laughs coming, the UK’s award-winning comedian John Bishop will return on September 9, 10 and 11 for a preview of his new Rollercoaster Tour.

The box office record-breaker’s latest outing, his World Tour Of Wicklow, takes him to Arklow Bay Hotel (September 13); the Grand Hotel, Wicklow Town (14); Germaines of Baltinglass (15) and the Royal Hotel, Bray (22).
