Swift announced in 2020 that she had started re-recording her first six albums in a bid to reclaim ownership of her work.
A spokesperson for Taylor Swift has confirmed the 1975’s Matty Healy will not feature on her reworked version of 1989.
Some outlets reported that Healy contributed to the upcoming 1989 (Taylor’s Version)- a re-recorded LP of Swift’s 2014 release.
The Sun claimed that the pair, who dated briefly earlier this year, had made a track together and that it would feature on the project- despite their split.
An apparent insider told the publication - “They’re not even in contact anymore, but there’s no hard feelings and Taylor will still release the tune. Taylor was a big fan of The 1975 way before she and Matty hooked up. The band worked with her on her ‘Midnights’ album but the songs they made never came out.”

1989 (Taylor’s Version), like Swift’s other rereleases, is pipped to feature bonus songs and “from the vaults” tracks.
