The English-born Irish musician teams up with Demae for his latest song.
Maverick Sabre has returned with a brand new video for his latest single featuring Demae, ‘Not Easy Love.’
The visual features clones of the two singers as they lay down vocals, relax in the living room and talk on the phone. The track is a tender navigation of self-reflection and how everyone can be difficult to love at times.
“'Not Easy Love' is about reflecting on myself, on how my own love isn't the easiest at times, a lot of songs I've written about love over the years have been about being consumed by the emotion of the relationship itself and maybe in that I haven't given enough time to see how I can be difficult, nobody's perfect,” said Maverick Sabre about the song.
Louis Mackay directed the video which captures the pair in various rooms “visually representing the different stages of relationships.”
“The video represents the cycle of relationships, the deterioration of situations we stay in for all the wrong reasons,” said Maverick about the video.

“We built sets to have the relationship play out in to try and show that love is sold to us as a movie, a false reality that captures many of us to look for things that don't fulfil our hearts, many of us are in relationships that society has designed to feel right rather than looking within ourselves to know what we really need, life and love on a movie set,” he added.
This is Maverick’s first single since 2019’s ‘When I Wake Up.’ The Irish singer teamed up with Ocean Wisdom on his track ‘Uneven Lines’ in January. The songwriter dropped his You Know How It Feels EP in 2020.
