Maverick Sabre's performance for Van Morrison's 75th birthday celebration goes live at 7pm this evening.
Following a captivating performance last night by Imelda May, we're delighted to present Maverick Sabre as our next act on 'Rave On, Van Morrison' – covering the title track from Van's 1982 album Beautiful Vision.
Over the course of the YouTube event, celebrating Van Morrison's 75th birthday, you can expect even more renditions of his remarkable songs from some of the most iconic names in the country – including President Michael D. Higgins with Bill Whelan, Hozier, Sinéad O'Connor, Bob Geldof, Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey, to name just a few.
Since the release of his debut album, Lonely Are The Brave, in 2012, Maverick Sabre has forged a reputation as one of the country's most respected, genre-blending artists. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with the likes of Jorja Smith, Chronixx, Joey Bada$$ and Professor Green. He released his latest EP, You Know How It Feels, last month.
Maverick Sabre's performance of 'Beautiful Vision' premieres at 7pm Irish Standard Time tonight, August 14, on the Hot Press YouTube channel.
