The Fund It campaign concludes on March 22nd, 2021.
Funk and neo-soul artist Max Zaska recently announced his sophomore album A Better Way, as well as launched an all-or-nothing Fund It to help him raise the money to make the record as good as it possibly can be.
Zaska, who has spent 2020 and 2021 as the musical director and coordinator of Denise Chaila's live band, describes A Better Way as “the next musical step in the neo-soul/funk evolution from my first album."
Zaska promises the album will be full of "face-melting, stanky grooves to get those sweet endorphins flying.
"It’s a concept record themed around sustainability," he continues. "Not just sustainability for this gorgeous planet, but for all aspects of living a harmonious life. It’s a hopeful album about our ability to turn it all around for ourselves and the next generation.”
It features a host of incredible Irish musicians, including: Tolü Makay, Faye O'Rourke (Soda Blonde, Little Green Cars), Melina Malone, Jess Kav (The Waterboys), Carly Coonagh, Precious Okpaje, James Smith (YURN, Gypsies On The Autobahn), Dylan Lynch (Soda Blonde, Little Green Cars), and Neil Dorrington (BARQ).

One-of-a-kind rewards are available for those who donate to the crowdfunding campaign. The campaign aims to raise €16,000, and runs until March 22nd offering rewards from €5 to €10,000. As with his last campaign, lower donation tiers offer a vinyl first pressing of A Better Way with carbon offset credit, and a Save The Earth download bundle with a digital bonus pack.
Zaska gets creative with custom personalised rewards at the mid-tier levels, but it’s the one-of-a-kind top rewards of a chicken for life, sourdough bread secrets, and a shrine in-studio that are really intriguing!
