The album, Red Blood Cells and righteousness, will comprise of 14 tracks, with collaborations from a vast array of Irish musicians and creatives, and is set for release on November 1, via Strange Brew.
Brian Dillon — working under the pseudonym The Line — is an Irish musician, sound artist, and member of noisy Dublin five-piece, Meltybrains?
Originally from a small rural town in Ireland, Dillon is no stranger to alienation — hence this new collaborative project — an impressive attempt to further connect his life with the lives of others.
A blend of Dillon's own Irish favourites, friends and former collaborators; The LP is set to feature a whole spate of Irish talent including Limerick rapper God Knows, Loah, Sorcha Richardson, Dan Fox (Gilla Band), Sarah Corcoran (Pillow Queens) and Caoi de Barra (Wyvern Lingo), amongst others.
Reaching out across the expanses of genre, the record's sonic landscape is tonally varied, with each track originating from a collaborative writing session between musicians.
Echoing the lush atmospherics of dream-pop acts such as Beach House and Cocteau Twins, Red Blood Cells and Righteousness also has its noisier moments — Irish shoegaze giants My Bloody Valentine and the harshness of Skunk Anansie are channelled throughout.

Likewise, the album's introspective songwriting undoubtedly pays homage to indie-folk greats such as Phoebe Bridgers, Villagers and Big Thief.
A communally created release, the intention of the record was for the creative process to reflect the themes and content of the songs. Thus, Red Blood Cells and Righteousness imparts a feeling of communality, of unity, and harmony.
Speaking about the record's inspiration, the musician said: “This is an album built on personal relationships and communication, dedicated to playing a small but significant role as a part of a world so much bigger than any of us are willing to admit."
"After all, maybe we’re all just blood cells, swimming through the veins of the earth, serving a much higher function...”
The album's first track, co-written by Brian, MuRli and God Knows, in MuRli's Limerick studio is a cinematic hip-hop inspired piece, 'Patience of Saints' - a gorgeously atmospheric track, incisively interrogating questions of faith and self.
There will also be a small Irish launch tour for the album, with live date details coming soon...
