Mercury Music Prize Shortlist Announced

No Irish artists have made it onto the shortlist for the 2016 Mercury Prize. The list was announced this morning and includes David Bowie, Laura Mvula, Radiohead and Bat For Lashes.

The nominations for the 2016 Mercury Prize were announced this morning.

Among the nominees are Radiohead, Skepta, The 1975, Bat For Lashes and Savages. David Bowie receives a posthumous nomination for 'Blackstar'.

The list is completed by Anohni, Jamie Woon, Kano, Laura Mvula, Michael Kiwanuka and The Comet Is Coming. The full list is:
