Meshuggah announce 3Arena show
The Swedish metal band is touring in celebration of their 40th anniversary.
Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah have announced a show at Dublin's 3Arena on October 27, 2027, featuring special guests Periphery and Vildhjarta.
Meshuggah was formed in Umeå in 1987, named for the Yiddish word meaning 'crazy'. In celebration of four decades since their founding, they are embarking on the Forty-Year Anomaly Tour.
The band's trademarks are polyrhythms and polymetred song structures. They are credited with inspiring djent, a subgenre of progressive metal; their music also significantly influenced technical and heavy metal.
Since 2004, the five-piece has comprised vocalist Jens Kidman, guitarists Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström, bassist Dick Lövgren, and drummer Tomas Haake.
Meshuggah have been nominated for two Swedish Grammis Awards and one Grammy.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m. here.
