Metallica have announced a reissue of their 5x platinum sixth studio album Load, set for release on June 13, 2025 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings.

The Load Remastered Limited Edition Deluxe Box is a comprehensive time capsule of 1995-97 era Metallica, and has been remastered by Reuben Cohen with guidance from Greg Fidelman.

The reissue includes the Load album on double vinyl, a 'Mama Said' picture disc, a Loadapalooza '96 triple LP recorded during the band's 1996 Lollapalooza performance, 15 CDs comprising demos, rough mixes, B-sides, and more, four DVDs with live and behind-the-scenes footage of the band, and a selection of memorabilia.

The legendary rockers have also shared a remastered version of Load's lead single 'Until It Sleeps', accompanied by a lyric video.

Originally released in 1996, Load debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, where it spent four consecutive weeks. It was the band's second album to debut at the top of the chart, following their self-titled 1991 LP.

Metallica are currently on the road with their M72 World Tour, supporting their latest studio album, 72 Seasons, released in 2023.

The tour began in April 2023 and is scheduled to wrap up in November of this year.
