Tributes are continuing to pour in for Philomena Lynott this afternoon, after Hot Press shared the news yesterday that she had passed away.
Since the news of her passing was announced, musicians and figures from across Ireland and beyond have paid tribute to her. President Michael D. Higgins said that he "was struck by her sense of humour, and the resilience which she summoned and on which she had to call many times in seeking to overcome the difficulties in her life."

Elsewhere, Metallica - who performed 'Whiskey In The Jar' at Slane Castle last weekend in tribute to Thin Lizzy - shared a post on Instagram about Philomena.
In it, they wrote: "R.I.P. Philomena Lynott. Thanks for your love and kindness."
As well as that, dozens of Irish musicians have paid tribute to Philomena.
Northern Irish rock band wrote: "Therapy? are saddened to learn of the death of Philomena Lynott, author and mother of Phil Lynott. We had the pleasure to meet her a few times in the nineties and it was always an honour and a pleasure. All our best wishes go to her friends and family. Now go and blast Live and Dangerous at full volume."

Damien Dempsey delivered a deeply poetic eulogy to the women:
"A great Irish woman has passed over the great divide.
A warrior Irish woman. Philomena Lynott. Mother of our Roisin Dubh, our Black Rose, the genius, Phillip Parris Lynott.
Only for Philomena's massive strength of character and courage and heart, Philo Lynott would never have been or known who he was.
He would have been snatched off her if she hadn't of fought tooth and nail to keep him, and probably sent off to Australia or America, and we've never have known the great Thin Lizzy.
I spent some great nights with Philomena and Smiley in Dublin and New York and she was a tough cookie, but so warm and kind hearted and hilarious!
May the great spirit hold her in the hollow of its hand.
She's back with her boy, she's all good.
Gra mor, meas mor, agus beannacht Philomena, Damo X."
