On July 12 Metronomy’s new EP Posse EP Volume 2 will be released. The EP features many artists including Miki, Faux Real, Nourished by Time, Naima Bock, Joshua Idehen, Lynks, SPIDER, Master Peace and TaliaBle.

Metronomy has released the second single from the EP, ‘With Balance’ which features Naima Bock and Joshua Idehen. The first single, ‘Nice Town’ featuring Pan Amsterdam was released on March 12. Both single’s music videos have been released.

Metronomy was founded by English producer and songwriter Joe Mount in 1999 and the group has made themselves known in the world of electronic pop music. The group consists of Mount, Oscar Cash, Anna Prior, Olugbenga Adelekan, Micheal Lovett and Gabriel Stebbing.

As Mount puts it, the goal of the Posse EP’ series is “realising you have a value within the music industry. For newer artists you can do something. You have a reach they don’t and they’re excited by it. It’s a great way of feeling connected to a wave like the one I was part of.”

Posse EP Volume 1 was released in September of 2021, which was followed by their most recent album Small World. Metronomy has toured with artists like Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Coldplay, Azealia Banks, Justice and Bloc Party, as well as headlined festivals across the world.

The upcoming five-song EP will feature  music videos for each track. When talking about the ‘With Balance’ clip, Mount said: “This video is the perfect visual extension of the Posse E.P ethos. It’s another step in the collaborative process of making the song and I love how it highlights new artists and ideas. I also love it when I’m not in a video because I can enjoy it the same way that everyone else does.”

Posse EP Volume 2 will be fully released on July 12.
