"We are incredibly grateful for her bass playing, amazing videos and thoughtful artwork," the Irish band have stated
In a statement shared on social media, M(h)aol have confirmed that their bassist Zoë Greenway is set to "step away from the band to focus on her film career."
"We are incredibly grateful for her bass playing, amazing videos and thoughtful artwork," their post continues. "She’s helped us create a visual identity and masterminded videos we are incredibly proud of. We’re so excited to see what Zoë does next, and while we’ll miss her on stage with us, we're lucky to still call her a friend."
In addition to her contributions on bass, Zoë memorably directed the music videos for classic M(h)aol tracks like 'Asking For It', 'No One Ever Talks To Us', 'Period Sex', 'Desperation', and 'Gender Studies' – and designed the artwork for their lauded debut album Attachment Styles, released last year.
She has also directed videos for the likes of Aoife Nessa Frances, Maija Sofia, and Fears.
M(h)aol released their latest single, 'Pursuit', earlier this year. The band is now made up of Constance Keane, Jamie Hyland and Sean Nolan – following the departure of former lead vocalist Róisín Nic Ghearailt.

Since sharing the news that Zoë is stepping back from the band, M(h)aol have revealed that they have "been working on stuff" – inviting fans to sign up to their mailing list "to hear first (very soon)".
