Montreal three-piece Cola are teaming up with Irish bands M(h)aol and Junk Drawer for an eight-date triple-headline Irish tour this year, culminating in a headline show at Whelan's in Dublin on June 4.

"Once upon a time M(h)aol didn’t get their US visas in time to go on a tour with their friends (Don’t talk to them about it, it’s too upsetting)," M(h)aol wrote on social media this morning. "To deal with the distress, a meeting of the minds came together forging deeper Irish/Canadian connections, and the result is an 8 date Irish tour with Cola and Junk Drawer. Naturally."

The tour will see Cola, M(h)aol and Junk Drawer play:

• 28 May – The Black Box, Belfast
• 29 May – Sandinos, Derry
• 30 May – Roisin Dubh, Galway
• 31 May – Dolan’s Kasbah Club, Limerick
• 1 June – Coughlans, Cork
• 2 June – Coughlans, Cork
• 3 June – Luca’s Records and Decks, Waterford
• 4 June – Whelan’s, Dublin

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, January 31, at 10am.
