Michelle Shocked announces Irish dates
She also wants to hear your protest songs!
Veteran agitpop singer Michelle Shocked brings her Roadworks tour to Whelan’s, Dublin (July 30) and Féile, Belfast (August 1).
Tickets for the former are €26.
Meanwhile, the American’s [link]www.michelleshocked.com[/link] site is inviting songwriters, professional or otherwise, to submit songs that “articulate the Zeitgeist; 1-in-10 unemployed, 1-in-6 uninsured, long term partners denied marriage equality, home foreclosures or mortgages underwater, political gridlock, bankruptcy or bailout.”
If they’re good enough, Shocked may add them to her live repertoire.
