Mick Flannery has announced a show at Dublin’s Vicar Street on 17 February 2024, in support of his new album Goodtime Charlie.
Flannery dropped his critically acclaimed LP in September, with Hot Press describing it as a “powerful, life-affirming album.” Read the full review here.
Goodtime Charlie went straight to No.2 in the official chars and No.1 the independent charts. Since its release, Flannery has been touring across packed houses in North America, Europe, The UK and Ireland.
Susan O’Neill has been revealed as his special guest for the Vicar Street date. The pair’s 2021 duet album In The Game was the biggest selling independent record in Ireland that year.

Flannery has had a busy 2023, recently signing to the late legend John Prine’s label - Oh Boy Records.
“As opposed to some of my prior engagements in the record industry, which felt not so good a fit,” he said in an interview with Hot Press earlier this year.
“There’s only so much I can do when it comes to distribution and promotion in other countries. The Oh Boy label have taken on the North American responsibilities, and that’s something that wouldn’t have otherwise happened. For the last two albums, we didn’t have partnerships over there, so there was no distributions to shops.
Fiona Prine and her people – apart from being lovely – are very well connected, because of the history of the label, and how much everyone around them loved John.”
Tickets to Mick Flannery at Vicar Street start from €39.20 and go on sale this Friday 15 December at 10am via Ticketmaster.
