Despite their last release Year of The Horse reaching the top 10 in the Irish charts, four other critically acclaimed albums and numerous gigs throughout the world, The Mighty Stef called it quits in 2016.

But this didn't stop leadman Stefan Murphy from carrying on and continuing to release a steady stream of music. Under the name of  'Count Vaseline', he toured the US with three experimental albums. Now he is returning to a pared down version of what he is known for; telling stories, singing songs and playing music.

With a new album in the works, Stefan Murphy will tour Europe for a small string of intimate shows, featuring a healthy dose of Mighty Stef material and new tracks.

Stefan Murphy will take the stage upstairs at Whelan's on January 24th, 2019.
