Music 4 Medicine beat Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande to the No. 1 spot.
Mike The Pies' version of Bill Wither' classic hit ‘Lean On Me’ officially reached its target of €5,000 today, after Aiden O'Connor and crew assembled the Music 4 Medicine supergroup for charity.
All proceeds are going to Aras Mhuire in Listowel and other charity-run nursing homes around Ireland to help purchase PPE for their staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The single reached No. 1 on the iTunes Singles Chart this week, beating the likes of The Weeknd, BTS, Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande to the top spot.
Performing under the stewardship of The Frank & Walters' Paul Linehan, the full Music 4 Medicine cast features Mal Tuohy (The Riptide Movement), Ronan Yourell (Delorentos), Niamh Farrell (HamsandwicH), Craig Walker (Power Of Dreams), Jerry Fish, Ste Ward (Columbia Mills), Mundy, Kenny Papenfus (Relish), Jack O'Rourke, Matthew Devereaux (The Pale), John Spillane, Marlene Enright, Roe, Hannah Richardson (Cherym), Dylan Howe and Fionn Hennessy Hayes (Rowan), Paul Frost and Ronan Dooney.

“Lady Gaga isn’t happy with me,” Aiden O’Connor said about the group's achievement.
“She’s No.1 in the UK and the US with ‘Rain On Me'. She keeps ringing me (laughs).”
Alan McGee - who launched Creation Records and catapulted Oasis to fame - made sure to congratulate the group on their phenomenal efforts.
“Well done Mike the Pies. Best venue ever – on getting the single to Number 1. Fantastic news.”
