Miley Cyrus speaks out against person who tried to grab her

The pop singer clearly and calmly explained the nature of consent on social media, after a fan tried to put his arm around her neck.

Cyrus was leaving her hotel in Barcelona when a member of the crowd ran through her security team to put his arm around her neck.

The singer's husband, Liam Hemsworth, then escorted her to a waiting car while a security team intervened.

The 26-year-old singer then shared the footage on social media and wrote on Twitter: "She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people.

"She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked.

"She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent. #DontFuckWithMyFreedom"

She later responded to comments from people who claimed that Cyrus should have expected this behaviour because of the way she dresses, to which she responded: "Don’t fuck with my freedom. #stillnotaskingforit"
