Take a look at Miley Cyrus performing new music at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.
Miley Cyrus performed three new songs during her set yesterday at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, after teasing a new music release on Twitter in weeks prior.
Fans shared videos of Cyrus debuting the new songs at the festival in Middlesborough to social media, which are reportedly titled ‘Cattitude’, ‘Dream’ and ‘Mother’s Daughter’.
In an interview with Vanity Fair published in March, Cyrus said that her upcoming album will be "genre-less" with hip hop and psychedelic elements, a claim that seems to hold true as the new songs span a variety of musical styles.
‘Dream’ exudes a moody rock vibe and sees Cyrus borrow lyrics from Wu-Tang Clan's famous 'C.R.E.A.M.' record: “Drugs rule everything around me”.
Meanwhile, 'Cattitude' sees Cyrus returning to the rapping that characterized her 'Bangerz' era.
Just over a week prior to her performance at Big Weekend, Cyrus took to Twitter to tease a studio version of the dark pop anthem ‘Mother’s Daughter’. She posted a video containing the words: “She Is Coming,” followed by the date May 30, insinuating a possible release date for the new track.
