Mitski announces her new album will be titled The Land is Inhospitable and so are We.
American alternative artist Mitski has released new details about her upcoming album and confirmed a new single will be released on Wednesday July 26.
In a voice message sent through her official newsletter, Mitski revealed her new album will be titled The Land is Inhospitable and so are We.
No release date has been set as of yet for the album, but the singer has confirmed a single off the album will release this week.
Fans have welcomed the news of a Mitski comeback with plenty of excitement and speculation as to who else might appear on the singer's seventh album.
Names like Fall Out Boy, Gerard Way, and Ethel Cain have all been put up as potential collabs, though none have yet been confirmed.

The Land is Inhospitable and so are We will follow her 2022 album, Laurel Hell, which peaked at number seven on the Irish Albums Chart and reached the top spot in both the Alternative and Rock Album Charts in the U.S.
Since her debut in 2013, Mitski has been nominated for several awards, including multiple Libera Awards and the AIM Independent Music Awards, which both assess independent artists.
She also recieved an Academy Award Nomination last year for 'This is a Life,' which appeared on the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed movie Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.
