The Waxahatchee collaborator has released a bluesy Americana track ahead of his fifth LP.
MJ Lenderman has given fans another slice of his upcoming LP Manning Fireworks with the new single and video 'Joker Lips'.
Manning Fireworks is billed for a September 6 release.
Recorded at Asheville’s Drop of Sun Studios and co-produced with frequent collaborator Alex Farrar, the LP is set to catalogue "everyday anxieties and enthusiasms in uncanny ways".
"Joker Lips' is about feeling pushed out by everyone else, Lenderman provides us a look at a renewed sincerity in his work, as he deadpans “Please don’t laugh / Only half of what I said was a joke.”
The video for 'Joker Lips', directed by Ben Turok, features Lenderman and The Wind performing in an overgrown field clung to the side of a mountain in Western North Carolina as plants seemingly envelop the band.

The artist will tour the UK and EU in November for the first time with his band The Wind, with a sold out Dublin headliner taking place at Workman's on November 23.
